The little master

Sachin Tendulkar is an Indian cricketer, widely considered to be one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He currently holds the records for the most cumulative runs in OneDay Internationals, and the most number of centuries scored in both Oneday Internationals and Test cricket. He made his international debut against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of sixteen, becoming Indias youngest Test player. Although primarily a toporder batsman, Tendulkar has often proved to be a useful and effective slow bowler. He received Indias highest sporting honour, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in the year 19971998 and the civilian award Padma Shri in 1999. His cricketing and batting abilities are widely regarded as genius by many stalwarts of the game. For instance, Sir Donald Bradman, the Australian great said of Sachin, He reminds me of myself. He is affectionately known as The Little Master by his adoring fans.
